AskAnything Web

Versions and Licensing
|
VERSIONS
The AskAnything Web software comes in the following versions:
Enterprise Version: This is the most powerful version of the software that is geared toward companies
with high-volume web sites (i.e. - greater than 200 unique users / day). Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is used as the database back-end
to store all the information.
Lite Version: This is more geared toward those companies with lower-volume web sites that do not
expect more than 20 or 30 questions to be asked per day. Microsoft Access 2000 is
used as the database back-end to store all the information.
Demo Version: The demo version has the same functionality as the Lite version. However, it has a 30
day time limit, after which the software will no longer function.

LICENSING
The AskAnything software license structure is a "restricted user license." This means
that you are limited to the number of users who can answer questions on the website
and (if you are integrated with a third-party CRM system) the number of SalesLogix/GoldMine customer service reps. (for HEAT)/users
(for GMSM) who are able to receive call tickets/pending activities that result from
questions being submitted to the AskAnything web template.
(Please Note: There is no licensed limit to
the number of web users who can ask questions.)
The Restricted User License Depending upon how many user licenses you have purchased, will determine the following:
-
How many "administrative" users can answer/edit questions on the AskAnything web
interface: The AskAnything web interface allows users with "administrative" permissions
to answer and edit questions that are submitted to the site. The number of allowable
administrative users is determined by the number of licenses that you have purchased.
- How many SalesLogix/GoldMine CSRs/Users are able to receive call tickets or pending
activities. If you are integrated with SalesLogix/GoldMine, then each time a question
is submitted to the AskAnything web interface, a call ticket or pending activity
will be created. The AskAnything software submits the call ticket/activity to CSRs/Users
in a round-robin manner, determined by the order you specified in the control panel
(click here). The maximum number of CSRs/Users that you can submit call tickets/activities
to is determined by the number of licenses that you have purchased.
An Example If you have purchased a 10-user license version of the AskAnything software, then
you are allowed the following:
- 10 administrative users who can answer/edit questions on the AskAnything web interface.
(i.e. - create their own personal homepages to answer/edit questions).
- 10 additional SalesLogix/GoldMine CSRs/Users who are able to receive call tickets/activities
that result from questions being asked on the AskAnything web interface.
